About Janrey.

Every Journey Shapes a Perspective

The journey began with a classroom Teacher, where he discovered that meaningful learning is about more than delivering information. As a licensed teacher, he learned how people understand, engage with, and apply knowledge in ways that create lasting change.

Over the years, his career expanded into healthcare, customer service, corporate training, web development, graphic design, and instructional design. Each experience added a new perspective, from understanding complex healthcare systems and adult learning to designing digital experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and purposeful.

Today, those experiences come together through Legacy Learning Studio, where he aims to help educators, healthcare professionals, thought leaders, and organizations transform years of expertise into connected learning ecosystems. His goal isn’t simply to build courses or websites. It’s to create systems that preserve knowledge, inspire learning, and continue making an impact long into the future.

Sharpen the Saw

A 30-minute learning intervention designed to help trainers recognize the importance of self-renewal during a period of increasing burnout and attrition bbased on Stephen Covey’s Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw.

The session encouraged participants to reflect on personal effectiveness as trainers while introducing practical strategies for continuous renewal across physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.

The Challenge

The training team had been experiencing an increase in trainer resignations, with burnout and limited opportunities for self-renewal emerging as recurring concerns. As part of our weekly team huddle, I designed a learning experience around Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw to encourage reflection, promote well-being, and remind trainers that caring for themselves is essential to effectively caring for others.

Objectives

  • 🎯 Improve awareness of burnout and self-renewal

    💬 Encourage personal reflection

🧠 Simplify Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw into practical actions

📌 Equip participants with actionable habits

My Role
  • Facilitator
  • Presentation Designer
  • Assessment Designer
  • Workshop Development
Why This Matters

This project reinforced my belief that meaningful learning begins when people are given space to pause, reflect, and connect ideas to their own experiences specially with adult audiences. Rather than simply presenting information, the session was designed to create a moment of self-renewal that participants could carry into both their personal and professional lives.

#LegacyLearning #SystemDesign

Building Legacy Learning Studio

The idea for Legacy Learning Studio began with a simple yet transformative question: “What kind of system do you want to build?” Instead of answering with a job title or career goal, I chose to design a vision.

That question led me to reflect on my journey across education, healthcare, corporate training, design, and technology. While each experience was different, they all shared one purpose: helping people learn, grow, and solve meaningful problems.

Legacy Learning Studio emerged as more than a portfolio. It became a framework for helping experts organize knowledge, design meaningful learning experiences, and build ecosystems that preserve expertise and extend their impact.

The Challenge

I wanted to create not just a portfolio that showcases my previously completed works, but a platform that communicates not only what I create, but how I think. The challenge was to transform a traditional portfolio into a brand that reflects my philosophy of connecting knowledge, learning, design, and technology into a cohesive learning ecosystem.

Objectives

  • 🎯 Establish a distinctive professional identity.

🧠 Position Legacy Learning Studio as a strategic learning consultancy rather than a freelance portfolio.

📚 Showcase projects through case studies that highlight process, thinking, and impact.

🚀 Build a scalable foundation for future services, thought leadership, and learning ecosystem

My Role
  • Learning Ecosystem Strategist
  • Brand Designer
  • UX Designer
  • Web Designer
  • Content Strategist
  • WordPress Developer
Reflection

Building Legacy Learning Studio reminded me that branding is more than visual identity. It’s the process of translating beliefs into experiences. Every design decision, from the language used to the way projects are presented, was intentionally made to reflect a philosophy centered on learning, systems thinking, and lasting impact.

#DigitalPlatforms #AI_Collaboration #ContentWriting

6SGS Consultants Online Library

The 6SGS Consultants Online Library was designed as a centralized digital platform that organizes educational resources into an accessible and engaging learning experience. Rather than serving as a traditional website, the platform functions as a knowledge hub where learners can discover courses, toolkits, and resources that support professional and personal growth.

The Challenge

As Karely’s collection of educational resources continued to grow in her device storage, the challenge was no longer creating content, but organizing it into a digital experience that learners could easily navigate, understand, and return to. Information was spread across multiple files and materials, making it difficult to present a cohesive learning journey.

The goal was to transform these disconnected resources into a structured online library that encourages exploration, supports self-directed learning, and creates a scalable foundation for future growth.

Objectives

  • 🎯 Design an intuitive digital learning platform.

🗂 Organize learning resources into clear pathways.

🤖 Leverage AI to accelerate content development and refinement.

✍️ Create learner-focused website content and product descriptions.

🚀 Build a scalable platform for future digital learning initiatives.

My Role
  • Digital Library Designer
  • Content Writer
  • Learning Experience Strategist
  • AI Collaboration Partner
  • UI & Visual Designer
  • WordPress Developer
Reflection

By combining human-centered design with AI-assisted iteration, I was able to create a platform that makes knowledge more accessible, scalable, and engaging. AI served as a collaborative thinking partner throughout the project, assisting with content refinement, brainstorming, information organization, and rapid iteration. Every output was reviewed, refined, and aligned with the project’s learning objectives and brand vision before implementation.

Career Transition Learning Program

A 24-week digital learning program that helps professionals transition into Instructional Design through structured learning, real-world projects, and portfolio development.

A guided learning journey that supports career changers as they transition into instructional design. Every module, activity, milestone, and dashboard component was intentionally designed to promote progress, accountability, and confidence while producing a portfolio that demonstrates real-world capability.

The Challenge

Many aspiring instructional designers have access to online content, but struggle to find a structured pathway that combines theory, practical application, and portfolio development. Learning often feels overwhelming because resources are scattered, progress is difficult to measure, and learners lack clear milestones.

The challenge was to design a cohesive learning experience that transforms isolated resources into a guided journey with measurable progress and meaningful outcomes.

Objectives

🎯 Create a structured 24-week learning journey.

🧩 Connect theory with hands-on portfolio projects.

📈 Motivate learners through progress tracking and milestones.

💼 Build career-ready competencies through authentic practice.

🤖 Leverage AI to accelerate learning and reflection.

My Role
  • Curriculum Designer
  • AI Collaboration
  • Learning Experience Designer
  • UX & Interface Designer
Reflection

Designing this program shifted my perspective from creating courses to designing complete learning journeys. I realized that meaningful learning isn’t defined by the amount of content delivered, but by the confidence learners gain as they progress toward a clear goal. Every milestone, project, and interaction was intentionally designed to help learners build both competence and a portfolio that reflects their growth.

People don’t just need content. They need direction.

Collaborative Design Thinking (Human + AI Collaboration)

Moonlight Haze began as a simple idea to develop a premium perfume brand. Through an iterative collaboration between human creativity and AI-assisted exploration, the project evolved into a complete brand concept, encompassing identity, packaging, product storytelling, supplier research, and marketing assets.

Rather than replacing the design process, AI accelerated exploration, allowing ideas to be refined, challenged, and improved through rapid iteration before arriving at the final direction.

The Challenge

Developing a new consumer brand requires hundreds of creative decisions, from defining the brand personality and visual identity to selecting packaging, sourcing materials, and crafting compelling product stories. The challenge was to create a cohesive premium brand while exploring multiple creative directions efficiently without sacrificing thoughtful design.

Objectives

🎯 Build a premium fragrance brand from concept to identity.

🤖 Use AI as a collaborative design partner throughout the creative process.

🎨 Explore multiple visual and branding directions through rapid iteration.

📦 Develop packaging, product storytelling, and marketing assets.

🔄 Demonstrate an iterative workflow that combines human judgment with AI-assisted creativity.

My Role
  • Creative Director
  • Brand Designer
  • Content Strategist
  • Packaging Designer
  • AI Collaboration Lead
Reflection

This project reshaped my perspective on AI in the creative process. I realized that AI is most valuable not as a replacement for design, but as a collaborative partner that accelerates exploration, challenges assumptions, and expands creative possibilities. The final outcome remained the result of human judgment, with AI serving as a catalyst for faster iteration and more informed design decisions.

How diverse experiences became one connected practice.

Legacy Learning Studio wasn’t built from a single profession or project. It emerged through years of experience across education, healthcare, corporate training, design, and technology. While each chapter of my career looked different, they all shared a common purpose: helping people understand complex ideas, build confidence, and solve meaningful problems.

Looking back, I realized I wasn’t changing careers. I was collecting perspectives. Each experience contributed a unique set of skills that now work together to shape the way I approach learning, design, and systems thinking.

What I Learned

Good design doesn’t decorate information. It helps people understand it.

Bringing It All Together

Instead of seeing these experiences as separate careers, I began seeing them as connected capabilities. Education taught me how people learn. Healthcare taught me how people make decisions under complexity. Corporate training taught me how learning improves performance.

Design taught me how communication shapes understanding. Technology taught me how to scale ideas beyond the classroom. Together, these experiences became the foundation of Legacy Learning Studio.

Legacy Learning Studio represents more than my portfolio. It represents the journey that shaped my perspective and the practice I continue to refine. Every exhibit you’ve explored is a reflection of that journey, from designing learning experiences and digital platforms to building brands and collaborating with AI. My goal isn’t simply to create courses or websites. It’s to help individuals and organizations transform knowledge into systems that educate, empower, and create lasting impact.

Beyond The Studio

The best ideas aren’t always created behind a screen. They’re often shaped by conversations, music, quiet moments in nature, and the people we share life with. These experiences continually influence how I learn, design, and create meaningful solutions.

I'm always open to meaningful collaborations, consulting opportunities, and conversations about learning, design, and innovation.
